The Upper Chesapeake Family Birthplace has a comprehensive offering of expectant parent classes to get parents and other family members from grandparents to siblings ready for the new arrival. The experienced Birthplace nurses instructing the courses are often the nurses the parents will see during the labor and delivery process, ensuring continuity of care.

Registration for these programs is required. Upper Chesapeake Family Birthplace patients will be given preference to classes. All programs are held at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center unless otherwise indicated. Please report to the information desk for directions to your class. PERINATAL BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
This group is designed for parents who have experienced the loss of a child, up to one year of age, through but not limited to: miscarriage, stillbirth, prematurity or SIDS.
